The 2009 Condura Run is by far the most popular and most awaited race this year. I was able to join last year’s 10k race so I am expecting the same enjoyable experience as before. It was even better because of the inclusion of the SKYWAY (can I just say huhahhh! *clap one thousand times*) in the half-marathon route. Only I was missing some of the kilometer markers..were there markers every kilometer or so?
Ran with my cousin Tsi again and good friend and calaben Jerome. We also requested a friend in our biking group, Vheejay, to provide support.
It was an enjoyable run. We specifically requested Vheejay to take tons of photos especially when we were running at the skyway because you’ll never know when this will happen again.
These are some of the photos from the race yesterday.
Bike-Support Vheejay doing his own prep work. Don’t forget the camera brader!
Tsi doing her stretching exercises. I heard her chant “1,2,3, yes yes yowww!”
Souvenir pic while still fresh
Approaching the Skyway Ramp. I’m so glad the signage is seen. This is really more of a photo opportunity than a half-marathon. Runner 1856, I can give you a hi-res version of this pic 🙂
Jerome in his first half-marathon. So proud of him. He had only raced twice in his life, one 5km and one 10k! And then his 3rd race is already a half-marathon! Runner 1607, just ask and we’ll send you a hi-res verion of this pic
V is for VONGGA!!! Nasa skyway ako! Yipee!
Grabe I’m SOO FAST! Papunta pa lang sa turn-around yung iba while I’m almost done. AAAY!! It’s the other way around pala 😦
Jerome again posin’ for the cam
Tsi and Rico enjoying the skyway run
One the way back I decided to wait for my friends to have our final photo opp before we exit the skyway. Saw our biker friend Pol, smile!
Then Jerome and I
Pic naman with our Bike-Support Vheejay
Saw Rico so another souvenir pic. Rico and Jerome wearing their takbo.ph singlets
And finally Tsi arrived
Shempre we must include our traditional jump. Too bad we couldn’t time it properly. This was the 4th jump and we decided to nix it after that. Masakit na sa tuhod!
This is on the way back somewhere in Buendia
Jerome and Rico along Buendia
Put your hands up in the air!
No pic crossing the finish line but I saw my orgmates in college from SAMASKOM. Nandy and Tito Kesh. It was Tito’s bday too so Happy Birthday TITO KEZZZHHH!
With more SAMASKOMers
This is Vim’s finish line pic. She’s also a biker friend.
Another pic with Tito Kesh
Sir Edwin pacing another runner. Halimaw talaga sa takbo pero easy run lang sa Condura. He owns a motor shop in the South. Tsi has her car serviced there.
Pic of Jerome at the finish line. AYOS ang CLEAR ng timer! 🙂
Tsi happily crossing the finish line
The group proudly showing our medals
Complete na with Vheejay! Finisher din sya! Yung nga lang 21km na granny gear ahihihi
What better way to cap the race by having a great breakfast. We were off to Pancake House at Mc Kinley.
Hello Tonyo?!?! Is daat yuuuuu? Natapos ko rin sa wakas 21k!
Thanks for viewing and I hope you had an equally enjoyable experience at the Condura Run!
